Everyone, here’s an electric citrus juicer that is not half bad! The Waring PCJ2 Citrus Juicer. For the occasional juice drinker, a simple plastic reamer can probably do the job. For the citrus juice drinker who doesn’t have good old arm power, it might be worth it to invest in an electric citrus juicer like this one.
With the Waring PCJ2 Citrus Juicer you can juice several oranges a day without doing anything except cut the oranges into half. The motor and the reamer is a powerful combination that will take all the juice out of the fruit, and you will get more juice than you’ll ever get juicing by hand. You can also juice lemons, grapefruits and limes.
What about clean up? That is extremely easy for this citrus juicer. There are only two parts to clean, which are the reaming cone and the container that holds the juice (your own container or glass). If you buy the white color one, it will probably discolor after a while, but to some that is not a problem.
Well, for those of you who are having high expectations of a really heavy duty metal power juicer by now, I must tell you that there are plastic parts. For less than $100, you can’t expect that much, really. The other downside of this electric citrus juicer is, the pulp holder is rather small so you will have to empty it often if you’re juicing a few big oranges, for instance.
I think the Waring PCJ2 Citrus Juicer is a rather good solution for elderly couples who want to serve fresh juice to visitors sometimes or have orange juice for breakfast. I bought one for the kind old lady next door and she loves it so much that now she’s giving me more homemade cookies than ever!
